ANANDA S MILLARD (MA, MSc, PhD)
With over 25 years of post-PhD experience, Ananda is a global impact evaluation specialist with expertise in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) domains, sustainable development, and policy analysis. Her multidisciplinary background, which includes a PhD in Peace Studies, an MA in Conflict Analysis and an MSc in Environmental Management, equips her with a holistic approach to addressing complex challenges across diverse sectors.
Since 2010, Ananda has focused on monitoring, evaluation, and learning initiatives for governments, international organizations, the private sector and NGOs. Her work emphasizes engaging vulnerable populations living in fragile and complex environments. She is recognized for designing rigorous evaluation methodologies, analyzing complex systems to generate actionable insights, and transforming data into evidence-based strategies to drive sustainable outcomes.
As a former board member of the European Evaluation Society (2019–2024), Ananda contributed to advancing evaluation practices and continues to do so through publications for the INTERVAL Group she is a member of. A published author fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese—with a working knowledge of French—she brings a global perspective shaped by professional engagements in over 60 countries across five continents. Her work is driven by a commitment to supporting organizations in achieving equitable and sustainable futures through innovative strategies, measurable outcomes, and policies that align with their objectives while advancing the SDGs and ESG efforts.
